Job Role:     Estate Operative

Location:     Redhill, Surrey

Salary:         £4,056

Hours:         8 hours a week; Wed 5pm to 9pm, Fri 4pm to 8pm

As an Estate Operative you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:

  • Creating a welcoming atmosphere for all residents and their guests.

  • Ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times and the site is well maintained.

The Estate Operative role reports to the Regional Manager and the Development Manager.

 

About You

You are approachable, hardworking and customer focused; you will have a property background having worked as either a cleaner, estate operative or caretaker and will be someone who thrives working to high standards. You are highly organised and have an excellent telephone manner and enjoy taking a “hands-on” approach to your role, where no task is too big or too small.

Main Responsibilities

  • To report any internal and external maintenance issues and be conversant with yearly site maintenance, health and safety scheduled programs

  • Assist in the overall day to day housekeeping duties and upkeep of leisure centre area and block entrances

  • Refresh and deep clean responsibility of leisure centre facilities and equipment

  • To monitor contractors onsite, with emphasis on Health and Safety

  • To assist the management team and recommend supplies and tools required, to allow works to be undertaken to a high standard

  • Proactively look at ways to improve Site Standards

  • To be fully conversant with emergency procedures such as Flood, Fire, and Gas Escape

  • To be able to operate various cleaning tools and equipment for housekeeping duties

  • Knowledge of plant room equipment and to keep track of housekeeping stock and advise the management team, when to order additional supplies or equipment

  • To take the appropriate action and liaise with the emergency services where needed, to protect the residents and development 

 

Skills and Experience

Excellent communicator with the ability to build good relationships quickly

Previous experience working for a leisure centre will be ideal but not essential

A no job is too big or too small attitude, someone who is willing to learn and take on new task

Friendly, energetic with good customer service skills

Previous cleaning and maintenance skills
