Job Role: IT Support Specialist 

Location: Luton

Hours: 35 hours per week

As Finance Systems Analyst you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:

  • Providing high quality business and technical analysis services and providing guidance in projects, workshops and initiatives
  • Serve as a systems business partner to all functional areas in the organisation with an emphasis on finance systems
  • Becoming a subject matter expert in finance systems particularly around purchase to pay systems

This role reports to the Business Systems Manager and has no direct reports.

About You

You are an experienced 3rd line IT support, and have a strong background in working with finance systems support and implementations, and are now looking for a new role where you can utilise your knowledge and stretch yourself.

Your background means you have strong knowledge of working with systems such as Coupa, Navision and preferably Adaptive Insights.

As a systems expert you understand their lifecycle and can clearly communicate this to colleagues and stakeholders. You are also able to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of analysis techniques.

As you will be supporting our colleagues and utilising your extensive knowledge in this role, there would be some travel to our other offices at least once a week.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as third line support for the procurement and finance systems, supporting complex user and system queries. The role requires a high level of understanding of the procurement and finance functions and how this is reflected in the systems usage.
  • Planning and working on the implementation of all software updates and upgrades, including project and stakeholder management, communications, implementation, testing, writing testing scripts, risk management and deployment.Part of the role will include liaison with the vendor when solutions are beyond in-house technical expertise.
  • Administering configuration, roles, clients, customers and users for the procurement and finance systems, in particular Coupa.
  • Working closely with the Business Systems Analysis Team Lead to prioritise and agree delivery of analysis services in line with product road-maps, software release schedules and business priorities. A degree of self-management and decision making is expected.
  • Creating process flows, wire-frames, mock-ups and other materials to remove ambiguity and support requirement definitions. This applies equally to current systems as it does to prospective ones.
  • Serving as third line of support for any complex incidents, service requests, problems and change requests related to business systems, particularly around finance systems, in accordance to ITIL principles.
  • In addition to providing analysis services, you might also be called upon to produce Business Requirements Specifications, Functional Specifications, “As Is” and “To Be” process models, use cases, trace-ability matrices and other analysis materials when required.
  • Researching, planning and recommending system and software choices to meet requirements and ensure software solutions are aligned with technology and business strategies. Software supplier relationship management.
  • To be available whenever implementations, change and upgrades require, due to the nature of systems availability and downtime KPI’s. To be always mindful of SLA’s and make sure the team stays within its boundaries at all times, including eventual out of hours work and weekends.
