Job Role:  Head of Reporting   

Location: London

Job Sector: Finance  

Hours: 35 hours per week

As Head of Reporting you will contribute to our vision of being the leading residential property manager, as recognised by others by:

  • Being part of our leadership team and lead and manage the Financial Accounts
  • Developing strategic planning and contribute actively to support the long term direction and growth of FirstPort

About You

You are a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with top 10 experience and now want to be part of a Senior Leadership Team.

Your experience of managing regular reporting including monthly management accountants means you have the ability to communicate complex information to senior management.

Previous experience has seen you work in large or medium-sized businesses, which may have been private-equity backed.

Communication comes naturally to you, and you have prepared and presented for board and senior management teams. You have advanced excel and power point skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the statutory reporting plan, working with the wider organisation to incorporate new business initiatives and business objectives.
  • Lead internal and external Audits programme from planning through to Audit Committee papers.
  • Be the owner and responsible person for compliance in relation to financial reporting standards.
  • Lead the control environment of and own the entire group.
  • Manage the cash forecasting, liquidity reporting and covenant including developing guidance, holding business reviews, communicating with the senior leadership team, and preparation of presentation for key stakeholders.
  • Analyse statutory reporting and cash trends at group through to department level to help anticipate and influence business operating performance; identify performance gaps and opportunities and drive action plans to resolve them.
  • Work with the wider finance and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all deadlines are met without compromising quality.
  • Perform other related duties including Mergers & Acquisition analysis and reporting.
  • Manage and develop the team.
