Our customer-focussed, field-based property management teams are responsible for ensuring that each of our developments meets the expectations of our customers and clients. We measure our success using our ‘Four Pillars’ of property management: Strong Health and Safety, High Site Standards, Healthy Estate Finances and Great Customer Communications.

Our field-based teams love the flexibility and variety of their role; they spend the majority of their week visiting their developments, carrying out regular site inspections and meeting with customers and contractors. Every one of them is provided with industry-leading technology to enable them to deliver an excellent level of service for our customers.

Property Managers

Our property managers in are typically responsible for up to 25 developments in a geographic area. No two days are the same and activities include site inspections, meeting with contractors, holding customer surgeries, developing budgets for each site and communicating budgets and accounts to customers, arranging for major works to be carried out, meeting with clients, responding to customer queries, creating communities and, in some developments, managing a team of concierges and other site-based colleagues. Our property managers are customer-focused and able to organise their time and prioritise. They are detail-focused and are able to understand and explain budgets and accounts.

Area Manager

Our Retirement area managers lead and manage a team of up to 20 development managers who are based on-site in our retirement developments. Their activities include meeting with residents, conducting budget and accounts review meetings, ensuring all developments within their portfolio meet our Four Pillars standards and hiring and developing their teams. Retirement area managers have great people skills, are customer-focused, have an eye for detail, are digitally-savvy and understand budgets and accounts

Operations

Regional Manager

Our regional managers lead teams of property managers or area managers and are responsible for a portfolio of up to 100 developments. To be a regional manager at FirstPort you’ll need excellent leadership skills and love delighting our customers, you’ll need to ensure consistent high standards in each of your developments, you’ll have excellent commercial acumen and you’ll be willing to be hands-on when necessary, especially when it comes to coaching and developing your team.

Our site colleagues are the face of our business for our customers. We offer careers in many different positions across our managed developments, including concierges, cleaners, gardeners, ground maintenance professionals and housekeepers.
